Kiln Fired Soapstone

In our workshop, the soapstone kiln serves as the core of our artistic process. The soapstone is carefully arranged within the kiln, subject to high temperatures meticulously maintained for approximately 12 hours. This precise and controlled procedure not only fortifies the stone but also seals its porous nature, rendering it impermeable. During the firing process, something truly enchanting occurs. The soapstone’s inherent qualities, including its natural markings, are brought to the forefront. This alchemical transformation ensures that each piece is distinctive, eliminating any possibility of identical creations and making each one a true original. Our journey is one of labor-intensive craftsmanship, resulting in utilitarian pieces that seamlessly blend functionality with artistry.
